Elements And Principles

Line.
The use of line is a visual element to
help guild the viewers eye through an
image to the main focal point the use
of line can help to define shape, colour
or to convey a certain mood.
Line can also define the position or even
 the direction of a photo.
Colour
the use of colour can help set the mood
for an image or help to have something
in the image either stand out or blend in.
Hue, saturation, brightness, lightness, dullness
or darkness of a colour can help to convey a
certain mood or image that you are trying
to get across to the viewer.
Value/Tone
Value measures the darkness in an area or
 lightness in an area
and in areas of certain greys.
 And the scale between greys
blacks and whites.
Texture
Texture is the photo of a rough or smooth
surface. The use of texture can help to get
across to the viewer how rough or smooth
a surface is in the image. This can be shown
through the use of shape colour value and
tone of a photograph
Balance
Balance places the part of the image in the
center of the image to create a more pleasing
photo to look at. The use of balance can also
be used to grab the viewer's attention and
have them looking at the main thing of the
image and can even help to guild the viewers
eye across an image.
Contrast
contrast is a difference in shape texture
colour and many other elements, this can
help to guild the viewers eye to certain
point of an image or have them always
finding a different way to look at the image
and finding new things to look at in an image.
Emphasis
The use of emphasis is to create dominance
in an image and the use of colour, shape
and other kinds of elements can help to
convey that kind of image in a lot of examples
it can be used in a solid black and white photo
or with the main focal point of the image being
in colour with the background being in black
and white in order to make it stand out more.
Repetition
The use of an object or colour over and over
almost in a pattern like fashion in order to
possibly create movement or texture to an
image in order for it to look more interesting
to the eye and more detailed to follow
throughout the image.

Movement
movement is an element used to direct the
viewers eye across an image the use of
shutter speed can help to convey movement
such as the movement of a car, someone
dancing or running ect. These are all
examples of movement it is really just
something that looks like it was moving
 when the image was taken.
Rhythm
Rhythm is elements such as line, shape
and or colour that are repeated in an
image to create a rhythm look of an image
rhythm has to look exciting and pleasing to
the eye so the viewer can follow it around
the image and not be bored of it in order
to keep them looking at the image.
Scale and proportion
Scale and proportion is the size of something
in an image and where it is located in the image.
This is like having Someone's finger close up to the
camera with a person further back form the camera
to make the finger look like as if it is a giant trying
to reach down to the little person in the foreground
 of the image.
Varity
Varity is the use of multiple shapes, colours, lines
ect in order to show that there are different things
to look at such as skittles for example you pour
some skittles onto the floor and there is a Varity
of colour. The use of shape can also convey arity.
Pattern
Pattern uses harmony to create a pleasing image
for the viewer to look at it can be placed in a way
to create a certain pattern but can also be just
found in that way, harmony and pattern do go
hand in hand together because for pattern you
need it to have harmony so it doesn't end up
just looking like verity or repetition
Volume
Volume is when the backdrop id one single
colour with multiple Other objects as the
main focus in order to make it stand out
and me the main focal point of the image
when it's being looked at.

Unity
Unity is the harmony of  the image it shows if
everything goes together and matches and just
overall fit together and blend very well with
 each other.

Harmony
Harmony is where everything in the image
 complements each other and matches/works
together. Its where everything goes together
and makes everything blend in and just look
 more pleasing to the eye.
